"Contains" "does not Contain" (or %LIke) as a preset filter

Beastmode works well for building a filter for Contains / does not contain %Like...etc... That is great for a card builder. What I would like to do is offer up fields to users that could choose a text field and then select a filter "contains" or "does not contain" and let them type a string to look for. Currently, you can do that in the search box and then select all the options. to save some steps, allow for the input of part of a string and exclude those items. The use case is multi-select pick lists that could have items in different places as you import them into DOMO. Rather than making a user find all the possible combinations, let the select "contains" and just put in the partial string needed.
