Merge cells in Table

I would like to be able to pick columns in which to merge all like cells (and subsequently reorder other columns).

    Interesting idea. Can you add more detail to this request? Are you asking to merge all cells that match in a column and show it only once? Is it similar to how we handle sub-totals for the first column? I'm not sure what you mean by reorder the other colulmns either. Thanks
