Adding new element to dataset. Will it interrupt related dataflows?

I’d like to filter according to a new specific element I'm adding to a dataset. Will it interrupt dataflows associated with that dataset?

    I don't think adding a column should affect anything, but to be sure I would recommed copying the original dataset and dataflow, then editing the copied dataset to see if it affects the copied dataflow.
