how long does it take for a data set to show up and be able to use in your workflows?

I created a data set but it isnt showing up to be able to use in a data flow.  Is there a time requirement needed before it shows up?

    When you say "I created a data set", do you mean directly in Domo going through the DataCenter/Add New Dataset and using an specific connector to upload the data ? or did you do it through Workbench ? also , did you make sure to set an schedule update of data and also make sure to run it for the first time ?

  • @Adunne This will be very dependent on the data source that you are uploading. If you are dealing with an excel sheet with a few rows you should expect to have access to that data very quickly since the loading and indexing of the data will be very quick. If you are loading millions or rows from a local data base using Workbench that will take much longer since the connection between WB and your remote DB and the connection between WB and Domo will determine your upload time, we will then need to index the data that was sent.

     

    If you can provide some additional details we can give you a better idea of what to expect. More importantly did the DataSet you were waiting for become available? Now that you have been using Domo for a while are there DataSets that are taking longer than you would expect?
