Comparing year over year data- by same week day
in Charting
Hi All,
I want to compare the sales volume for 2020 against that of 2019 on a by day basis.
For example: 1st Feb, 2019 was a Friday and 1st Feb 2020 was a Saturday. Instead of comparing Feb 1, 2020 against Feb 1, 2019, I want compare Feb 1, 2020 against the nearest Saturday in Feb 2019.
Has anyone faced this scenario before. Please suggest.
Regards,
Siva

Try the Period over Period chart types. it allows you to align by day of the week. I think you can do something like the screenshot below

You could also select to compare against 364 days ago rather than 1 year. Since it's evenly divisible by 7 it lines up days of the week this year to last year.
