Is there a way to view and manipulate tags through the API

Hi,

We would like to do some work programmatically through the API which involves tags on datasets. I have been looking through the docs for the DataSet API and also some of the other APIs but I can't find anything that mentions how to view tags on a dataset or add or delete them. Is there another API that I should be looking at?
