Make E-mail Address a Clickable "MailTo" Link Within a Text Box on a Dashboard

I'd like to make an e-mail address a clickable "mailto" link within a text box on a page/dashboard.

However, when I try to add a link, the box that pops up requires the link to be a true URL (mast have https://) and won't allow for mailto links.

Is there a different option available for this or can anyone think of a workaround?

I have no problem doing this in cards, beast modes, etc. -- just can't seem to find a straightforward way to do it on a dashboard text box (notebook card).
