Drill down issue - Data Set Incompatible

This is my general question if i created  a card from one data set and now i want to create drill down card with different data set, generally drill down will happen with common data column i.e Atlease single data column should be present in both of the datasets . But even though that data set has many common columns it will consider our beast mode calculation columns and throw incompatible error many times why?
