Medium Cards - Labels and Axis

Medium size cards should be able to display qualities like a legend, axis, Min/Average/Max lines.

We're finding that we cannot even use medium cards in our dashboards due to the fact that most card types do not support this feature.  For example the two cards below would be equally legible (if the one on the right had the same size ratios for the title and summary number) however the one on the right conveys significantly more information.

The card to the left is actually one of the best examples of a medium size card as well.  Compare that to the card below which is more representative.  I can understand the assumption that frequent users will recognize the series colors/shapes - however the scales are highly variable, and in some graphics the series colors are variable as well.
