Stop code: System_service_exception (the new blue screen of death)

Curious if others out there using Windows 10 and the Excel plugin tool are getting this error. I had to uninstall and re-install the Excel plugin last week as it stopped working after a system update. After reinstalling, I started getting the Windows stop code randomly.

Visiting www.windows.com/stopcode suggests that 3rd party software incompatibility is sometimes the cause.
