Hello- We are using Domo mostly for financial and executive reporting. I want to use it on our manufacturing shop floor and am wondering if anyone else is taking advantage of the "slide show" feature displayed on a smart tv on the shop floor to show the dashboards?
We are a steel fabrication, weld, and powder coating shop along with 2 precast concrete plants on our site. We want to track and display current production metrics and actual production over/under the forecasted plan.
In our precast plants, we have a lot of general laborers- I also would like to display attendance.........but first things first.

We have something similar in different areas of our company, mainly on our risk center floor. to give you an idea , we are a financial company that underwrite checks for banks and other financial institutions such as check cashing store all over United States. these are thousand of locations including , branches , ATMs and great part of our transactional volume comes from mobile deposit capture.
so, we have found that using Apple TVs , 4th generation. work wonderful when displaying Stories (The new dashboard capability, this requires downloading the Domo app from the Apple App store in the Apple TV) , it allows every layout within your dashboard to display on screen one at a time , but with multiple metrics on the same screen. you can set how long or how frequent it moves to the next layout. for this in particular we use a small dataset (Current day) since we need the data refreshing at almost real time.
in other area, like the lobby of the building we have a regular publication (Slide show url link) displaying historical trends one chart at a time. in this case we dont need to update the data as often as in the main floor where all the action happens, so we use a big dataset that refreshes once or twice a day. (In this monitor we use an airtame device since it is not an smart tv that can hit a url link)
I hope this helps you answer your question.
We have experiinted with using the slide show feature to display metrics to shop floor folks. One area of consideration is the device you are displaying it on. Not all smart tv's will work correctly. We found in cases of older TVs that the browsers wouldn't support it, and a PC was needed.
We're a medical device manufacturing company and we have many places where we display metrics throughout our facility.
In our shipping department, we have a slideshow displaying shipments awaiting pickup by logistics partner. This helps our workers know when they're done with FedEx pickups, for example.
In one of our manufacturing departments, we have a screen that alternates assembly line metrics (which we've set up to refresh every minute!) and upcoming work order changes. This gives our workers real time engagement on how they're performing as well as information they can use to anticipate upcoming changes.
We use a mixture of old laptops tucked behind wall mounted TVs as well as USB computer sticks for web browsers.
